Playing Old Hymns With New Styles


Think of how a solo acoustic indie artist will take popular songs and adjust the style a bit to make it "work better" for a stripped down setting. Now, apply this same mindset to old hymns for church, and you easily take away some of the potential for being cheesy and out of touch.
